Janine Edwards, Head of Consultancy & Development, The FSI

Janine leads The FSI consultancy and development service and brings significant experience from the private and charity sector including strategic development, governance, diversifying income/developing earned income streams and impact measurement. Janine has a wealth of experience in designing and developing outcome-based support solutions for clients in the charity sector. She is also an accredited Social Return on Investment practitioner.

Janine will be presenting the latest FSI Small Charity Index, a quarterly State of the Small Charity Sector Report. The Small Charity Index reports across four key areas: Income Generation, Service Delivery, Workforce and Governance. The aims of the Small Charity Index are to assess the challenges facing small and local charities and community groups across the UK, identify trends as they emerge and provide a benchmark against which policymakers can make decisions to support the sustainability of the sector.


Kathryn Engelhardt-Cronk is co-founder and CEO of MissionBox, Inc.

Kathryn Engelhardt-Cronk is co-founder and CEO of MissionBox, Inc., a new global online nonprofit resource site that provides the latest curated information and education regarding best practice nonprofit operations and mission delivery, as well as a forum for leadership connection and collaboration.

Launched in late 2017, more than 150,000 nonprofit and charity leaders have thus far accessed missionbox.com to connect, learn and share. MissionBox, a social enterprise, sponsors the MissionBox Philanthropic Fund, offering monthly cash grants to small nonprofits around the world in a wide variety of impact areas.

MissionBox Communities, a charity constituent engagement platform, is the newest product launch. Prior to MissionBox, Kathryn served as executive director of several nonprofits in the areas of substance abuse treatment, child abuse prevention, and grief and loss support.

After seeing a critical nonprofit need for service delivery and outcomes reporting technology, Kathryn founded a for-profit company, Community TechKnowledge, Inc. When Kathryn sold CTK in 2016, the company was providing outcomes technology and training to over 18,000 nonprofits on four continents, supporting the work of over 250,000 service providers per day and impacting the lives of 22 million service recipients each year.
